How we work

Sources
Provider facts come from each provider's public pages. State requirements come from boards of nursing and state agencies. Compact status comes from NCSBN's NurseCompact.com map data. We do not use reviews, forums or commission rates as evidence.
Verification statuses
- Verified — we retrieved the provider or board page and saw the value on the date shown.
- Observed — recorded from the page during research; a later automated recheck was limited or blocked.
- Awaiting confirmation — seen only in a search-indexed copy because the page blocked direct retrieval.
- Unknown — not established. Never treated as yes.
Ordering
The comparison table defaults to alphabetical order by provider name. You can sort by advertised price; plans without a recorded price always sort last. The publisher's marketing-services relationship with Fast CE For Less and Cheap CE For Nurses never affects order, filtering, which plans appear or how unknowns are labelled.
Unknown handling
When you filter by a feature, plans whose value is unknown remain visible and labelled "Can't confirm" unless you choose to hide them. State eligibility is shown as Unknown unless we can cite an official listing, and a listing for one topic does not imply eligibility for other courses.
Plan-level versus provider-level facts
Price, audience, renewal and pharmacology are recorded per plan. Reporting, approvals, single-course pricing and state listings are recorded per provider. The comparison labels each column accordingly.
Testing
We have not purchased courses or tested learning platforms, accessibility or reporting outcomes. Where we describe these, we describe what providers advertise.
Review schedule
Pages carry the date their sources were checked. Time-sensitive pages (for example New York's November 17, 2026 mandated reporter date) are scheduled for earlier review.
